A native of Baltimore, Maryland Rick Bowie graduated from Gilman where he was coached by Joe Ehrmann which sparked his passion for the game of football and coaching. He then went on to college at Dickinson College where he played football as well. After graduation he returned to Gilman where he taught 4th and 5th grade while also coaching the football team. He then continued his coaching experience at St. Frances Academy in Baltimore where he served as the Director of Admissions and Enrollment while completing his Master’s Degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Education. In 2018 he moved on to the college game as an Offensive Graduate Assistant Coach at West Virginia University. In 2019 he went to the University of Houston where he serves in the same role currently.
