Scott Gorman has been providing hope and redemption by coaching and intervening on those suffering from Alcohol and Substance Use Disorders for over 25 years. He has been a pioneer in the Recovery Coaching movement, focusing on the Film, Television, Music, and Professional Sports Industries.

Scott was introduced to Joe Ehrmann in 2005 when he was The Chief Aide to The Owner of The Indianapolis Colts, Jim Irsay. Jim has been close to Joe since 1973 and was very close to Joe’s brother Billy before his tragic passing. Scott has taken part in Joe’s professional training while with The Colts and in subsequent years. The foundational message of Joe’s Coaching philosophy that resonates and parallels Scott’s own coaching style, is the simple fact that we each must do the prerequisite, arduous interior work…we cannot give away something we do not possess.

Scott currently consults for Professional Sports teams, various Family Offices, and businesses around the country as a Principal for firmarecovery.com He was the Certified Interventionist and Recovery Coach for The National Football League Players Association (NFLPA) and Advocated and raised funds for The National Association of Drug Court Professionals. A former professional athlete himself, Scott played three seasons as the Catcher for the World Famous 4-Man Fastpitch Softball Team “The King and His Court”.

Born and raised in Detroit, he lives in Traverse City, Michigan with his wife of 19 years Courtney and their 2 children Ruby and Grey…both of whom were blessed by Pastor Joe Ehrmann at their respective birth dedications.

Scott has been in recovery from Alcohol and Substance Use Disorder for 41 years. Scott is honored and humbled to be on the Board of the InSideOut Initiative.
