
Trent Hanson
Trent Hanson is the Athletic Director at Hastings High School in Hastings, MN. His purpose is to lead with integrity and grit, inspire service, and create community. Trent has served as a professional educator for three decades as a teacher, multi-sport coach and administrator, including 12 years as an Athletic Director. He is a former three-sport high school athlete, college athlete, college coach, and high school head and assistant coach. He has been recognized as State Coach of the Year, Region Athletic Administrator of the Year, and Division Principal of the Year. As HHS he leads athletics programming that features over 30 sports, 100 coaches and 1000 athletes. He is passionate about aligning purpose and process to activate transformational experiences for student-athletes and coaches. Trent is a Certified Athletic Administrator (CAA) and an active member of the Minnesota Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (MNIAAA) who has served as a region representative and state AD advisory committee member. He is currently engaged in Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) leadership roles with the coaches education faculty, education advisory committee, officials advisory and ExCEL committee. He is proud to have served as an ISO AD partner since 2020 and is deeply committed to the impact of the initiative. Trent and his wife Amy have four children; son Ryan, and daughters Jaylen, Gavyn, and Lennyn.
